Volunteer Opportunities

The UVDP Supporters include more than 330 households in the Upper Valley and we are growing steadily. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer, we can use your help! Below are our current committees, some of which are currently active, and others that will follow as we progress.

Fundraising Committee
Looking for individuals, friends, supporters, and/or businesses who are interested in helping with fund raisers, or may wish to give donations, or contribute in-kind donations. We are also looking for people who want to contribute on an annual basis.

Website Committee

Our website will help us keep people informed about things to do with the park, such as: events, rules & regulations, directions, times, fund raisers, news releases and articles, volunteer needs, education, the Bark Report, newsletters, How you can help, etc. Looking for someone that would work on our photo gallery.

  • Education/Newsletter

We need volunteers to help with articles, newsletters, fliers, info for message board, etc. to keep our supporters and friends aware of what we are doing. We hope to have a newsletter online.

  • Operations Committee

This committee helps with various projects at the park and maintenance. Responsibilities include:

Regular clean-up days (Although individual owners would be responsible for picking up after their dogs, we would insure that the park remains clean and sanitary.)

    • Supplying plastic bags to facilitate pick-up
    • Oversee the bulletin board/kiosk, keep it updated and keep people aware of events, changes, and educational programs.
    • Work days to help with maintenance, fencing, weeds, landscape etc.
  • Dog Club of the Upper Valley

Watson UV Dog Park Club was formed in Jan/07, encouraging people who want to commit to helping the growth and success of our park. These grass root members help support the park in various ways, depending upon our needs.

The club consists of: guidelines/by-laws, membership, dues - $15/yr., volunteer committees and perks (discounts on events, caps, T-shirts etc. and a vote in making decisions for the park).

Plus, we have a lot of FUN! Contact: Member Chairman, Patsy Schneider at info@watsondogpark.org
