• Dogs Get Their Own Space in Hartford
  With the help of a group of volunteers at the dog park, the Town of Hartford and the UVDPS agreed upon a trial opening the winter of 08-09. Volunteers raised additional money and provided necessary services.

  Gary Mayo, owner of A.B.Gile Insurance agency in Hanover NH was our project manager for the building of the fence surrounding the dog park. See a great plug about the dog park, and what a great person he is!

EVENTS OF THE PARK –

• 2009 Governor's Award for Outstanding Community Service
• We, the UVDPS, are very proud to have been selected to receive this award from the Vermont Commission on National and Community Service. We congratulate all our dedicated and hard working volunteers.
• January 21, 2010 - Annual Meeting
• Our annual meeting will be on Thursday at 7pm a the Hartford Town Hall. Our Guest speaker will be Judy Coates, a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. She will share her expertise and experiences with treating dogs with injuries and some emotional issues. Please come and learn about your dog park and how it works for you.

We plan to have a newsletter on our website so you can have easy access. It will be an educational vehicle, as well as, informational.

EDUCATION

This summer we purchased a Message Board for information, educational info, coming events, questions from the public, suggestions for the park, special events, etc.
